What is TELUS PureFibre Internet®?

TELUS PureFibre Internet® is a high-speed Internet service provided by the major telecommunications company TELUS.

Unlike alternative internet providers like Shaw-Rogers in the West, TELUS PureFibre Internet® operates exclusively using fibre networks, meaning users experience fewer negative impacts to their internet connection.

This allows TELUS PureFibre Internet® to provide 3,000 Mbps extremely fast download and upload speeds, crowning it as western Canada’s best internet service provider in formal studies and internet speed tests alike.

Apart from TELUS’ PureFibre Network®, the TELUS Corporation offers fast wireless internet to rural areas through the TELUS Smart Hub, powered by TELUS 5G and LTE Networks, making this an innovative alternative for customers living in remote communities or areas that are more challenging to serve with a traditional broadband connection.

TELUS PureFibre Internet® Availability

As their home internet services are exclusively provided through fibre optics requiring a physical connection, internet plans are currently available in select locations within three provinces: Alberta, British Columbia, and Quebec. You can check if your area is already fibre-connected on their website

TELUS is dedicated to enhancing the coverage, speed, and reliability of its global-leading networks across Canada. The company has invested nearly $240 billion in network infrastructure, spectrum, and operations since 2000, and has an additional $81 billion planned investment by 2027 to bring PureFibre networks to more communities and Canadians.
