Qbord Review 2022: Online Surveys and Focus Groups

Qbord is a Canadian rewards site that pays its members to complete surveys, participate in focus groups, and invite friends.

Legitimate online survey sites offer opportunities to earn a little bit of extra cash in your spare time. While many of the opinion sites you may encounter are legit, there are also several scams out there.

Is Qbord legit or a scam? Can you earn rewards with the site? These questions and more are covered in this Qbord review.

Who is Qbord?

Qbord is an online panel owned by PMG Intelligence, a market research company in Ontario, Canada, that has been around since 1993.

Similar to other popular survey sites, the panel engages users to provide their opinions on products and services and, in turn, rewards them for doing so.

The Qbord community is free to join.

How To Earn Rewards With Qbord

Paid surveys are just one of the tasks you can complete to earn rewards on the site. Members can also participate in focus groups, ad ratings, polls, and in their referral program.

After signing up and connecting your profile information, you start receiving emails informing you when surveys are available.

Except for focus group earnings, the currency on Qbord is measured in points. You earn points for each survey completed and for participating in other tasks as follows:

  • Polls: 5-10 points
  • Ad rating: 30 points
  • Friend requests: 100 points
  • Sharing random facts: 10 points
  • Focus groups: $75+

The points earned per survey are dependent on the type of survey and how long it takes to complete it.

How To Redeem Your Rewards on Qbord

You can redeem your Qbord points for various gift cards including Amazon, Best Buy, Indigo, Starbucks, Hotels.com, Cineplex, Groupon, FootLocker, Roots, Esso, and many others. Prepaid Visa cards are also available.

100 points earned on Qbord is equivalent to $1.

Gift card redemptions prior to the first day of the month are processed on the first day of the next month and sent out on the 15th day of that month.

You can also use your points to participate in auctions, sweepstakes, and donate to charity.

Pros and Cons of Qbord

Similar to other survey panels, there are pros and cons to using Qbord. Some of the benefits and complaints highlighted by members include:

  • Offers multiple ways to earn rewards, including surveys, focus groups, and friend referrals
  • It offers multiple redemption options

  • It takes forever to get your gift cards processed
  • Customer support is awfully slow
  • Surveys are offered infrequently

Is Qbord Safe?

Qbord appears to be operated by a legitimate company, PMG Intelligence, located at 5 Spring Street, St. Jacobs, in Ontario.

That said, it looks like many members of the Qbord panel have complaints about getting their rewards on time.

While it is not accredited with the Better Business Bureau, Qbord holds an “F” rating on the platform.

With regard to safety and privacy, Qbord uses 128-bit SSL security encryption to protect your information and states that they “never” sell your information.

  1. Qbord was once pretty good at providing gift card redemptions, but of late, it seems like they don’t even honor them anymore, yet….they still send out surveys!
