All of the Government Payment Dates in Canada for 2025

The Government of Canada has several programs that provide monetary support to seniors, Canadians with low incomes and disabilities, workers, families, and veterans. But, as there are numerous programs available, it can be challenging to monitor all payment dates. 

Use this guide to keep track of all the important government payment dates for the release of various benefits in 2025, from the Canada Pension Plan to Canada Carbon Rebate, and Veteran Disability Pension.

All Government Payments in Canada for 2025 

Canada Pension Plan (CPP) Payment Dates

If you’re a recipient of this benefit, the maximum monthly amount you can receive if you start your pension at age 65 is $1,433. Below are the CPP payment dates for 2025:

  • January 29, 2025

  • March 27, 2025
  • April 28, 2025
  • May 28, 2025
  • June 26, 2025

Old Age Security (OAS) Payment Dates

The maximum monthly OAS amount you can receive is $800.44 if you’re 75 and over with an annual net world income of less than $154,196 (as of 2024). If you’re aged 65 to 74 with an annual net world income of less than $148,451, your maximum monthly amount is $727.67.

Canada Child Benefit (CCB) Payment Dates

The CCB is a tax-free benefit program for families to help them with the cost of raising children under the age of 18. For the payment period from July 2024 to June 2025, the maximum amounts you can get for each child are:

  • Under 6 years old: $648.91 per month ($7,787 per year) 
  • 6 to 17 years old: $547.50 per month ($6,570 per year)

GST/HST Credit Payment Dates

The goods and services tax/harmonized sales tax (GST/HST) credit is a tax-free quarterly benefit that assists low-income individuals and families offset the GST/HST they pay. Below are the amounts for the payment period from July 2024 to June 2025:

  • $519 for single individuals
  • $680 for persons who are married or have a common-law partner
  • $179 for each child under the age of 19

The scheduled payment dates for 2025 are as follows:

  • January 3, 2025
  • April 4, 2025
  • July 4, 2025
  • October 3, 2025

Ontario Trillium Benefit (OTB) Payment Dates

The OTB is a refundable tax credit available to low-income families to help them pay for energy costs, sales tax and property tax. It combines three tax credits into a single payment. Below are the maximum payment amounts:

  • Ontario Energy and Property Tax Credit (OEPTC) – From $25 to $1,248, depending on age and where you live
  • Ontario Sales Tax Credit (OSTC) – $360 for the July 2024 to June 2025 cycle (based on the 2023 return)
  • Northern Ontario Energy Credit (NOEC) – $180 if you’re single; $277 if you have family

Canada Carbon Rebate (CCR) Payment Dates

Formerly called the Climate Action Incentive Payment (CAIP), the CCR is a tax-free benefit for eligible individuals and families to help them offset the federal pollution pricing cost. 

Under the base Canada Carbon Rebate in 2024-2025, a family of 4 can get up to $1,800 in provinces where the federal fuel charge applies. For the CCR payment dates, check the table below:

  • January 15, 2025
  • April 15, 2025
  • July 15, 2025
  • October 15, 2025

Advanced Canada Workers Benefit (ACWB) Payment Dates

The ACWB is a refundable tax credit available to eligible low-income workers and their families. The maximum amounts for ACWB are:

  • Basic benefit maximum amount: $1,428 for single individuals; $2,461 for families
  • Disability supplement maximum amount: $737 for single individuals and families

Below is the table for the payment schedule for the ACWB:

  • January 10, 2025
  • July 11, 2025
  • October 10, 2025

Alberta Child and Family Benefit (ACFB) Payment Dates

The ACFB is a tax-free payment available to families with children under 18 years. For July 2024 to June 2025, eligible families may receive $1,469 ($122.41 per month) for the first child and $735 ($61.25 per month) each for the second, third and fourth children. 

Below are the payment dates for the ACFB:

  • February 27, 2025
  • May 27, 2025
  • August 27, 2025
  • November 27, 2025

Veteran Disability Pension Payment Dates

The Veteran Disability Pension is a tax-free financial aid to support the well-being of veterans. The amount you receive depends on the extent of a veteran’s disability and its impact on their quality of life. The pension rates can be viewed here. Below are the payment dates:

  • January 30, 2025
  • February 27, 2025
  • March 28, 2025
  • April 29, 2025
