Looks like the end is near for Web Perspectives. I have been a panelist on this panel for around 15 years. Up until very recently, I have had virtually no issues with this company. I always received my rewards without any hassles. But all of a sudden, this time when I wanted to collect my reward, they want me to upload my drivers license ID or some other form of Gov. ID. What??? So they have partnered with an outfit called Veriff.
This company will keep your photo ID on file and who knows what else will happen with it. I’ll get an email one day saying that there has been a breach and we all know how that story goes. If I would have received a notification within a reasonable amount of time telling me about this HUGE change in collecting the rewards that I worked hard for, maybe I would feel a little less like being taken advantage of. At this point they will not issue MY Gift card unless I comply.
They seriously think that for 20 bucks I will just send in my PHOTO ID. Here is a response from them to me regarding this issue.
“Thank you for contacting Member Support.
Keeping your account information safe and secure is extremely important to us, which is why weโve partnered with Veriff, a global verification system. During the redemption process, you may be asked to confirm your identity through Veriff by uploading a valid government issued ID and a photo of yourself. Once your account is verified, you can finish the redemption process and will no longer have to go through Veriff again on your next redemptions.
.We appreciate your cooperation. Stay safe and have a great day!”
You can’t just think that you can take advantage of people without at the very least, notifying them of upcoming changes.
I’m pretty sure that unless they change this policy, Web Perspectives will be a brand of the past.
Here is an update. I am not entirely sure why, but Web Perspectives reached out to me and told me that they have manually verified my account. So I upped my star rating from 1 to a 3. Before these issues, they were easily a 4 star but now I must hold the line at 3 because of the distress they caused me over this nonsense.
Signed up recently, and so far satisfied with their product. The surveys seem to be more interesting than most other sites I have tried and pay well.
Initially, was unable to cash out my rewards, but this was eventually fixed and have cashed out twice now. Should be more multiple cash reward denominations however; seems many are just $10 for example.
Currently platinum level; did get one diary invite but sadly this survey froze on me and was out of luck to particpate any further. These glitches seem common on survey sites for some reason.

Joined a few weeks ago, and find the surveys interesting to fill out.
I am however unable to redeem any pts. which seems to be a common complaint with this site. When requesting a VISA virtual card, a popup ensues saying your account will be verified within 72 hrs, which never happens.
Also, the other rewards appear to only come in one denomination, for ex. a Tim Horton’s $10 voucher; find it odd they don’t have multiple options available for these rewards.
If this isn’t resolved soon, I will simply deactivate my account.
