  1. Great tips! About #3, here in Miami you can get huge discounts by hurricane-proofing the house with reinforced windows and roof. I think it would apply to every area prone to natural disasters – the more you protect against them, the more you save on insurance (and on the devastation they can bring).

    You are right. The less risk insurers face when providing coverage, the cheaper insurance is. The same rule applies to those with backflow preventers that limit damage from sewer backups. Thanks for stopping by.
