How to Earn Scene+ Points
Scene+ is a flexible rewards program offering several options to earn and use points on daily purchases.
Members can use a Scene+ membership card to earn points with many partners, including Sobeys, Scene+ Travel Powered by Expedia, Cineplex♢, Harvey’s®°, and more.
Points earned can also be accelerated by paying with an eligible Scotiabank debit or credit card that earns Scene+ points, allowing customers to earn points on every dollar spent.
Scotiabank customers can earn points in two ways at once when they pay with their eligible credit or debit card and show their Scene+ membership card to participating Scene+ partners.

As a Scene+ member, you can use points through the Scene+ app or at sceneplus.ca

If you are a Scotiabank customer, you can use your eligible Scotiabank debit or credit card to book travel anywhere and apply your Scene+ points to the cost of the trip (*within 12 months from the date the travel was charged to your Scotiabank card) with the Apply Points to Travel option.

Pros and Cons of the Scene+ Rewards Program
As with any loyalty or rewards program, there are pros and cons. Here is everything you should consider before signing up for the Scene+ rewards program.
Pros
Scene+ points will not expire so long as they are connected to an eligible Scotiabank credit or debit card that remains open, meaning you can rack them up and not worry about losing your points at the end of the year.
If you do not have an eligible Scotiabank Scene+ product or close your eligible Scotiabank credit, you can remain an active Scene+ member and points will only expire after 24 months of inactivity.
Points can be used towards almost anything, from groceries to travel to statement credits.
If you have a Scotiabank credit or debit card that earns Scene+ points, you’ll earn an accelerated number of Scene+ points per dollar spent, up to 6X the points depending on the product/service.
Cons
Scene+ points cannot be transferred to other loyalty or rewards programs.

The Scene+ program is free to join and allows you to earn points with a variety of partners. You can earn points with a Scene+ membership card, or you can accelerate your points earned by using an eligible Scotiabank credit or debit card that allows you to earn points on every dollar spent.
FAQs
The number of Scene+ points you can use at once depends on the partner brands. For example, you can only use Scene+ points in increments of 1,000 at participating grocery stores, while you can use as many points as you want to offset the cost of your trip through Scene+ Travel, Powered by Expedia.
Eligible Scotiabank credit and debit cards allow you to earn an accelerated amount of Scene+ points. Some Scotiabank credit and debit cards offer an earning potential of 5 or 6X Scene+ points per $1 spent on major spend categories such as groceries.
If you have an eligible Scotiabank credit or debit card, your Scene+ points will not expire as long as your eligible account remains open. If you do not have an eligible Scotiabank product and have the Scene+ membership card, your Scene+ member account may be closed if you don’t use the card to earn or redeem points within two (2) years.
Scene+ membership cards are not transferable and can only be used by the membership card’s primary owner. However, if you have an eligible Scotiabank credit or debit card with additional cardholders, you can earn points with all authorized cards. All points earned are tied to one Scene+ membership.
